If you are assisting someone that has a weakness on one side, and their leg drags, you may want to use another piece of equipment. You can use a 'turntable'.

A turntable is placed under the persons feet so it is easier for them to move from chair to chair. 

A turntable can also be used for someone to sit on, this can be used if they have difficulty turning their hips to get out cars.
